You can get here by car. Those arriving by plane can land at the international airport of Athens, about 230 km or at Kalamata international airport that is about 160 km from Leonidio. The arrival options are car rental, taxi or by bus (Leonidio Bus Station: (+30) 27570 22255). If you need additional details on how to get here, please contact us and we will be happy to guide you, explain the bus lines and schedule or order for you a rental car or a taxi if you wish.

It depends on the type of your trip, public transportation between the villages is challenging to non-existent, so it will be more convenient to get around with a car. There is a taxi station in Leonidio and bus lines to Athens several times a day.

If you plan to enjoy the village or the beaches and go on tours and activities that we organize, you don’t need a car and we can arrange transportation if necessary.

Unless it stated otherwise, the activities include transportation from Leonidio to the starting point and back, the equipment require for the activity and a guide. In a multi-day experiences we also take care of food and accommodation. Details on a specific activities can be found on the activity page.

• Make sure to have the appropriate clothing for the activity. We will indicate in the registration form if something specific is needed.
• Unless  specified or agreed in forehand, arriving at Leonidio is not included in the activity and you will arrive by yourselve.
• We are a registered and insured company, but nevertheless each customer must insure himself as usual for Overseas and Outdoor activity insurance.

Besides the activity, the guides, transportation, accommodation, meals and equipment, we provide a unique experience, by making nature and culture accessible for the FITs. We think it’s a priceless experience to do it all without barriers between you and the place, experiences that will create special memories and will make a special connection between you and the place, the nature and the people.

We like to travel and explore on our own and we love to encourage others to do the same, so if there is an activity that does not require our services we will mention it, but from our experience sometimes a trip with locals gives a different point of view and an added value that it is harder to find by yourself.

Our lovely team of guides are people with a passion for what they do, they are experienced and they love nature, culture and people. Our instructors are leading the planning of the activities, therefore they have a lot of knowledge and experience and they lead the activities out of interest and love for the field.

Nomia is the nymph of the mountains of Arcadia, she was a companion of mythological gods like Pan, Artemis and more… Shepherds, nomads and adventurers in the mountains would pray to her, in order to have a safe and pleasant journey.

In Tsakonian (the ancient language of the district) the literal meaning of Nomia is shepherd.

We found the symbolism of the name perfectly suited to the nature of our company which wants to create a connection between the place, history and nature. To preserve and inspire us and those who want to experience nature and the environment.
